Tidal Yoga was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2016, and specializes in physical and energetic alignment through yoga, pilates, and ritual work.

TIDAL CORE VALUES

We aim to foster community using unconventional teaching styles to guide clients out of their comfort zone and into deeper connection with themSelf.

We seek balance within the body, while working to break the negative, socially-constructed ideas about health and wellness.

We stand for strength, confidence and creativity.

We teach to empower individuals on their unique journey, and to educate about the complex relationship the mind and body share.

We are movers and shakers - who love a sweaty, high intensity Pilates class just as much as an essential oil Restorative Yoga session.

We promise to keep you safe while keeping it fresh! New moves and music promised daily. No two classes will ever be the same, it’s what keeps us passionate about our work.

THE 5 ELEMENTS OF A TIDAL WAVE ARE THE ULTIMATE EMBODIMENT OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT

Just like Energy, a wave cannot be created or destroyed. It is constant and cyclic in nature, created as its potential grows with travel. Once the wave hits a peak, it comes crashing down to return home within itself. With every crash, the energy is thrown back into the body of the wave to be washed and sifted through before returning to the surface. The trials of our lives have a similar effect in the way that with each lesson we learn, we become stronger and more capable than before. Our experimental database widens and perception shifts.

Anatomy of a wave

A wave is influenced by a combination of all 5 natural elements. The (fire) of the Sun transmits its energy to earth by heating the (air) above the water’s surface. This warm air rises, allowing cool pockets to form and generate small ripples on the ocean’s surf. The gravitational pull of the sun and moon control the ebb and flow of the (water’s) tides, allowing the waves to cover large distances of (space), eventually reaching and connecting with the (earth’s) shore.
